You will have to download the latest version of the addon from code factory If you want to use it with the latest nvda
Otherwise you will be waiting a long time

I have the Code Factory Eloquence installed on my system I have hesitated to upgrade to the latest builds of Nvda because I was informed by the add-on installer that Eloquence wasn't compatible. This was about a month or 6 weeks back. Has the situation changed with Eloquence? Any information would be appreciated.

Re: NVDA Add-ons installation problem

While you wait for a possible solution, this workaround may allow you to
install add-ons. Don’t press enter on the add-on itself. Open the
NVDA menu, open tools, down arrow to manage adde-ons and press enter.
Then tab to the install button and press the space bar.
You are in a typical open dialog. Shift tab, I believe its twice, to
the files and folder’s list. Find the add-on and press enter.
I believe this will likely work because you are installing the add-on using
NVDA directly and not having Windows open the file first. You are
installing it as though you were using a portable version.

Eduardo Fermiano Luccas
I guessed the dates from in process and from what you hear with NVDA 2021.2 on 2021.2, NV access said that translators would have until the 6th of September, and NVDA 2021.2rc1 was released the day after the 6th...now , I got the same situation, they said that the translators have until the 30th, so my preview for rc is on the 1st of desembro.and a week later, the official release Em seg., 29 de nov. de 2021 às 02:42, Joseph Lee <joseph.lee22590@...> escreveu:

Hi, A birdy or two tells me that NVDA 2021.3 will be here sooner than we think, perhaps before Christmas. As Quentin said, it is up to you as to when you would like to install it. However, I strongly recommend Windows 11 users to install the upcoming NVDA release as soon as possible because it contains an important fix for users, specifically NVDA will not get stuck when switching between apps. There are more major changes scheduled for 2022.1, but that's getting ahead of the story - in particular, NVDA 2022.1 will resolve a long-standing issue where NVDA would not announce File Explorer status bar items but only on Windows 8.1 and later (Windows 8 is unsupported). Hi Eduardo, I think I lost something in translation, but are you asking if it is ok to NOT install the NVDA 2021.3 beta ? If so, then that is absolutely fine - Your previous version of NVDA will let you know when the final version is out* and so will I here as you noted. We haven't had any serious reports of issues with the beta, so don't anticipate anyone should have any problems, but if you are a bit nervous about installing software before the stable version, then waiting is perfectly ok. *The one caveat to your existing version letting you know about the new version is the issue which I think most here are already across - that the way our recent security certificate upgrade was done did not propagate out to everyone and so there are some users who will receive an error when they try and check for updates. For those users, you can either: - Live with it until NVDA 2021.3 comes out and then download and install that manually - Download the Beta from https://www.nvaccess.org/post/nvda-2021-3beta2/ - run it (you don't have to install it) and from the help menu choose "check for updates" - that alone should fix it, you can then exit and go back to your old version. - Download the add-on we put out in October. I mentioned this in our In-Process blog at the time, which you can still find here: https://www.nvaccess.org/post/in-process-19th-october-2021/ - The add-on does exactly the same thing as checking for updates from the beta (and from future versions of NVDA). Kind regards Quentin.

I would like to discuss not installing NVDA 2021.3 now1: if I am using NVDA 2021.2, I do not have to install anything as I know I am using the latest NVDA, and when NVDA 2021.3 arrives I can download manually.2: if i'm using NVDA 2020.3, i can still download NVDA 2021.2 manually.3: we know there's no updates for now, so let's have no fear.4: if you're subscribed to this group, quentin will let you know about the release of NVDA 2021.3. waiting for your answers! Sorry for the translation errors

No, use it in focus mode except when it comes to reading messages; so navigate in focus mode, it works out pretty well actually when getting around the main parts of the interface..

Hi all. No, don't exist an NVDA Addon for Facebook Messenger Desktop Version, but a important thing here is learn the commands of one only key that have Facebook in pc, you can use this with focus mode of NVDA or pressing first NVDA + shift + space for disable the navigation of one only key of NVDA browse mode. Regards.

Subject: Re: [nvda] NVDA Portable Start Sorry
Gene, I should have explained further: In the past couple months I've been getting help to get a new machine (that doesn't have any speech)started, to reinstall windows and then load NVDA. So I'm making a set of startup thumb drives to get the system started and and run the reinstall software, then NVDA. Or maybe it should be NVDA first, then reinstall. I used a utility to create bootable (reinstall) thumb drives, both 32 and 64 (so I could use it on other computers. Cant remember the name of that utility (probably you know) and can't find it on my hard drive. Someone gave me the hint, that if I label the thumb drive with something like 1, I can go to it directly by opening "this pc" and typing 1. Then executing the batch file that starts NVDA. That way, I don't need to know the letter of thedrive. It works. The only problem that remains is to make sure the machine boots from the USB port. I have a friend coming over (some time) to help me with the CMOS setup. That gets a little windy, but I think it explains what I'm tryng to do. Thank you, Gene, for offerring your assist. Thanks, Chris, it appeared that I should add the exit command to my batch. So I did and it still ended in the terminal mode. Alt F4 does close it.
