Thanks. I don't know, because this is an online supermarket, and I need to do my shopping on it...

Now my son blocked Carousel via Adblock Plus, but he had to do something with it, that I wouldn't know how to replicate.
Anyway, I'll try hyour suggestion on another machine.

I haven't tried this but you may find that saving the page and then opening the saved page stops the problem. I have no idea but you might want to try it. Instead of saving the entire page in the default setting, saving it as single page, html only, would save room and might help stop the behavior.

FW: [NVDACon] NVDACon planning meeting for March 2016, Saturday, 19 March 2016 #cal-reminder

Hi folks,

For those who’d like to know the status of NVDACon 2016, or would like to chat with some committee members (giving suggestions, feedback and so on), please come to the next planning meeting this weekend. Please install TeamTalk 5, then instead of using the manual configuration method described in the page linked below, please choose automatic configuration method.

The NvDACon page can be found at:

Note that this isn’t NvDACon 2016 – it’s a planning meeting for this conference. You’ll be the first group of people to be notified once the final NVDACon schedule is announced.

Cheers,

Joseph

VSO downLoader: impressions and questions

Георги Ламбов <obichamlegiona@...>

Hi people!
Did anybody work with vso downloader? In its portfolio is announced,
that the program downloads videos from almost every videowebsite what I
find wonderful. But I can't understand the way of the download or how
the software works. And I'm not sure wether the program is quite
accessible with screen readers: NvdA and jaws: I work with both ones.
Can anyone to explain me some things about vso downloader? Thank you in
advance.
Cheers!

I've used webinaria a few times - primary issue was needed to then extract audio, boost it's volume, and then reapply it to video clip using combination of audacity and virtualdub:
http://www.webinaria.com/

And, it's interface isn't perfectly accessible, but, managed to get it working with NVDA screen review mode, after had used hotkeys to start and stop recordings.

what I'm looking for is to just pause and resume the recording, so when

Don't take into account the fact that the pade is in Italian; the point
is that it keeps refreshing, and you can see that very easily.

Hello all,

Is there a way of blocking/removing Carousel from web pages with NVDA?

My son helped me get rid of it on an online supermarket, but he
tells me
he did it via Adblock, and wouldn't know how to make me do it in an
accessible way.

This constant refresh of web pages is really annoying. I know I
mentioned this before, but I didn't know that the problem is caused by
Carousel...

If anyone has any suggestions, they'll be very welcome.
Thanks a lot.
Ciao,
Ollie

Re: Accessible screencasting programs?

I know it is accessible, but according to the website it is no longer the focus of the developers, which lead me to believe that there will be no more major updates, and I think there is still no way to pause the recording. Stopping the recording means that it creates a separate file, what I'm looking for is to just pause and resume the recording, so when I stop the recording, it would still be the same file.

Hi all,

I know I asked a similar question on Freelists, so sorry for asking this again...

Does anyone know of any screencasting/screen recording program similar to Camtasia/Debut that is accessible with NVDA? Obs Studio is reasonably accessible, but there is no way to pause and resume the recording. Camstudio is kind of out-of-date, haven't seen an update for 2 years, Debut...is now pretty much shareware/trialware, plus it installed lots of unwanted stuff on my computer.

Yes, I'm afraid you have to log in. I thought about that after I sent the link.

It does refresh, indeed it does!!!
But, the point is blocking Carousel.
If there are programmers around the place, they should know what I mean.

Thanks for trying...

I can't test with IE11, if that is what you are using. I don't have it.

Re: NVDA behaviour

Thank you all. I'll uninstall and reinstall as you suggested.

make a portable of nvda and run that, uninstall the old nvda and then

Hello everyone,
After I upgraded to Windows 10 I have been having some issues with NVDA.
When I am in a document NVDA does not speak lines when I do Up/down
arro, leters when I do left/right arrow, words when I do control_right
arro etc.
The only time it speaks when I do select all or when pressing spacebar
after each word.
The same things happen in brows mode on the Internet.
Your responses will be appreciated.
