How do you do that?
If you change the order of the fields, that should
determine what is read in which order. Personally, I have no objection to
having NVDA saying attachment first by default, I don't have a preference but my
point is that you should be able to already determine the order within the
program.
I use Windows live mail and it would be nice if NVDA could say has
attachment before the subject like outlook express rather than
after.

Re: Help with tap and Radio
Gene
Have you tabbed around the program and looked
through the menus? When the program opens, you are in a search
field. You may either search for something such as a station or a state or
a country or for an organization such as national public radio, the name of the
organization that many stations use in their names in The United states, or,
though I haven't done this, I suspect you can search for a format such as
jazz. When you have typed your search, shift tab once. You will be
in the results. Down arrow through them. You can also use first
letter navigation. Press enter on something if you want it to play.
You can add the station to favorites if you wish. Control a opens
favorites. Press enter to add the current station. Favorites work as
expected. Open the favorites menu with alt a and then down arrow to see
them.
There are many other ways to work with the
program. I'll let others discuss those if they wish. for now,
remember that f2 starts play if you are already at a station and f2 also stops
play. For example, if you stop play of a radio station, f2 will start play
again. It will do this even if you close the program and open it
again.
In the main window, use the command f1 to bring up a list
of short cuts. Close the list with escape. Look through menus and
dialogs. Also, I believe shift f1 opens online help in your default
browser.

Re: FW: [Nvda-devel] Contracted braille input: testing in the next snapshot
Devin Prater
Thank you, Jamie, for all this. I've tried it, and writing
"computer" in English US, grade 2 doesn't work, neither does using
computer braille indicators, like 4-5-6, 3-4-6 to enter things
like emoticons, although I guess that is a rather cheap way of
getting around the ambiguity of US braille. Besides those little
things though, input works wonderfully so far.

Re: Email attachments

There may in fact be an attachment which you don't think of as one, but the
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
computer does. The two commonest reasons for this are: 1. People who send emails with a "business card" style signature at the bottom, giving their contact details - that is often attached to the email using a format which can be imported into an address book application, or sent to a mobile phone etc. 2. People who send emails in both plain text and HTML format - your email client will be set to show you one of these by default, and often regards the other one as an attachment, even though as far as you're concerned the content is exactly the same. Hope that helps, Antony.

Depends on your spellchecker, but certainly word allows you to put in custom words or special words if you want to, at least my old 2003 does and I think its called Add in most spellcheckers.

Would this not be rather dangerous, as it might be as in many installers that you need to tab to find options, not just accept the default control.

Can you import the exe file from 7 to your other machine and run that. I've just done this with wordpad to lose the ribbon menues and that seems to still work, though you need to have it in a different folder and run it from a shortcut.

Depends, sometimes facilitates the search if you add the country: st. lucie, fl But you have to separate them with a comma. But in this case, if you write: st. lucie, it is equally. Adriano
