That being said, go to document formatting settings in NVDA and you can select what gets reported to you as far as formats applied when they're

When Foobar2000 plays media and CTRL key is pressed while NVDA is running the volume of FooBar2000 is lowered. When CTRL is pressed again, the volume is restored.

I have never used the boot media to do a restore.
What I do is connect the drive that I am restoring to another pc via usb and do the restore there.
