Re: nvda rule not working in thunderbird
In the rule setup screen, you have one combo box, which determines
whether you will be dealing with the Subject line, From field etc. In
this Combo box, choose the entry that says:

I disagree, this is a facility designed to give information on the key combinations used to invoke NVDA commands. What is spoken identifies the combination of keys used for the commands not what

Re: Folders or Separate Accounts
Hi, Jeff,
Years ago I took an internet course from Hadley School for the Blind and one
of the lessons talked about having two separate accounts--one for personal
emails and another for email lists.

Re: Potential problem with the Remote addon
You said “hearing NVDA say pass key through, then hitting F11, I can't send an F11 key to his computer” then “He can hit F11 and obviously it works”. I took this to mean you pressed NVDA+f2

Hi, David,
I'll give a listen to Gene NZ's tutorial when it's put up in a few days. I had such a hard time with creating filters so I came back to outlook. It's a heck of a lot easier to create

Re: NVDA and Open Office
It looks like there is only one version for windows, which would be 32-bit, as you said - On the download page there is an option for 32 or 64 bit versions for Linux:

Re: NVDA doesn't announce what shifted letter and number keys do
Since it announces letters and numbers unshifted, it is reasonable that it announce the shifted items as well. Of course, you can do what you are saying, but it is more convenient and better design

Re: NVDA and Open Office
Am I correct in saying there is only a 32bit version of open office? you do get a 64bit version of Lo.

Hi David
hopefully it should be easy enough to follow. Even though i had already setup the message filter, using the context menu will still take you back to the way where i went through the tools
