Since it announces letters and numbers unshifted, it is reasonable that it announce the shifted items as well. Of course, you can do what you are saying, but it is more convenient and better design

hopefully it should be easy enough to follow. Even though i had already setup the message filter, using the context menu will still take you back to the way where i went through the tools

It does a bit of both - it tells you which shift and control and so on and which letters and numbers, so logically it wouldn't be out of place to have it tell you the symbol when you press shift with

I thought input help was designed to give instructions on NVDA commands rather than keyboard layout. For keyboard layout type investigations, open a text file and switch on speak typed characters,

On mine when I just tried exactly what you did (alt+f4 from the desktop, choose sleep, let it go to sleep, close the lid, open the lid), it
