Come to think of it as well when i had maths player when it first came
out after i uninstalled it i got a problem like that. at the time the
only fix was to reinstall the maths player again then

Personaly i feel myproblems using jaws together with Thunderbird is mutch bigger then NVDA and thunderbird. Of course the blank row is a little iritating. and something wich the devs should do

Before uninstalling and reinstalling programs, try registering dll files in a procedure that has been discussed here before. I don't know the procedure but it doesn't involve manually editing the

Interesting, I just fixed the menu not speaking problem. For some reason an
nvidia control panel waqs up. I finally got rid of that and the speech came
back.

is the menus in focus for nvda if not you might be able to see them but
doesn not mean nvda is focused on them. There may be another windows
open that it is looking at.

NVDA speaks when I am not trying to view the menus. On all other pc's when I
press the down arrow it works great but, on this machine it doesn't speak
when we try to arrow trough the menus in

if you do a say all use the nvda key + down arrow key it will read the
whole message and you will not hear blank lines where they are. you only
hear them if you do it a line at a time by

Are you reading messages by down arrowing through them? That's really cumbersome and inefficient.. I know of no skip blank lines feature in NVDA. If you use read to end, you won't hear blank lines
