I personally use winrar as my general file editor. It's nearly 100 percent accessible (despite claims to the contrary I've seen on this list), and it works like a charm, it even gives more

The voice characteristics aren't related to NVDA. If reading slowly or at the default voice, in Eloquence and Via Voice, which both have identical voices, the American voice has a slightly unpleasant

If you're focused on address bar it will do that - you need to be focused on the webpage's content before you can invoke the NVDA key + F7 command.

insert keys is checked by default as nvda key and you dont need to set it.
are you sure that you are in brows mode when you want to list the elements?
