I have found that using the NVDA add-on ObjPad with the News App with
Scan mode is a good experience. See the add-on site for info.

Yes its not to bad, I have however after getting music or apps have had to exit and open the store to get the interface back to get another luckily I don't bother to much.

Yes, using object navigation is the answer to accessing a lot with NVDA. Object navigation is very similar to the JAWS touch cursor. I would not even suggest using NVDA without learning all of the

Do you know how to run NVDA with no add ons? Doing that would tell you if an add on is causing the problem. If so, you can then disable one add on at a time until you find the one. Are you using

It depends on what version of IOS your running.
If you have IOS 8, you can't use iTunes 11, for example.
iTunes breaks for me as well.
I have and iPod touch forth gen, and just gave up
