Chrome works fine with Win10. Dave Moore made a nice tutorial to get you started.

Same here! My new computer will be ten. That's why I'm going to get these things. Does crome work good with win 7? Or does it work better with ten? I know the latest version of NVDA works with it!

I don't know if this is the case in any programs or parts of Windows discussed but are any features lost by reverting in this way? I don't use Word, but it is so differently organized in ribbon

Try the following
In mozilla fire fox go to tools then down to add ons then press the enter key.
You might have to tab a couple of times, but you will be looking for a list. here you can arrow up

I have had this happen, you can just restart nvda or go to nvda menu preffs, win10 apps, then check for update and whack that button and it will do what it will do.

Well to be honest unless you use excell I use jarte pluss and that works.
office 2010 and 2007 are still supported offices and still use bits of the older interface.

While I am not going to use these on systems I do admin on, its nice to know that even though I have to use a lot of extra third party hacks, my workstation will behave

If you are using that key combination for something else in Firefox that you had previously designated yourself, just go into the view menu and arrow to the reader view option manually and hit enter.

I can confirm this with latest firefox and nvda 2017.1. The line is spoken as one work without spaces. If I arrow through the line, no spaces appear.
