The latest driver is still 2.82, I had this driver before the update I am unsure what was installed on both units I have but its not been updated since february this year.

yes, i realy dont trust adobe products and never use them!
sumatra is the best program, most simple, without complex settings,
less than 5 mb, translated to many languages, very simple and fast.

Thanks very much for that info. I ended up calling microsoft's disability line and they helped me solve the problem.

I ended up calling the microsoft disability line and they helped me solve the problem. I tried to set sounds and messed it up by choosing the HP device instead of speakers. Anyway, it's working fine

And even if you do that it's still not likely to work. They must be using some on-chip codecs because I'm still getting dynamic compression applied. It's less worse than it was with the realtek

That allows you to show or hide certain tool bars but those aren't the ones being discussed. There are tool bars you can't get to with f6. I haven't found any way to get to them except by using

I don't have a laptop but apparently you can't disable enhancements on this desktop either so I guess I'm stuck with it. Thanks for trying to help though. I'll call Microsoft tomorrow and see if they

And if you are unlucky enough to have one of these laptops with DTS linked to the realtek audio manager, and no way to disable the "enhancements", then you're stuck going into task manager and finding
