Re: Changes in the options menu and an important missing setting
I agree that is a silly thing and one would expect it to be there, not just for us, as often you might want to freeze a page for some reason.

Re: Changes in the options menu and an important missing setting
Maybe this is why then, I could not find anything to get browse mode to work at all in windows 7. I think the advice I've seen elsewhere on the web to ignore 57 and wait for 59 might well be the best

Re: quick navigation keys do not work
I suspect the installation of Office 1016 or a Microsoft update. NVDA also can no longer recognize when the window in
focus changes unless it is a dialogue box.

That is correct though I seem to recall you can with Narrator, in 10, but not 7.
It was unchecked but the menus worked as I said earlier and so the problem with no browse or focus mode seems to be

Yes Well unfortunately, this made absolutely no difference either way when I tried it running windows 7 64 and 32 bit Firefox.
I have a feeling there is a bug in that routine under some circumstances,

I did this but had to uninstall and re install the navigational sounds and ublock origin as they were disabled and refused to be re enabled. I went fo 52 on windows 7 as interestingly if you turn off

Hi Gene,
I see about:config is still there, but its obvious that the Mozilla folks don't want anyone messing around with those settings.
