selecting characters in a edit box
Running Win 10 and the latest 2017-4 RC3. When focused on a edit box that has 5 characters in it I do a select all to delete and change the entry. But instead of NVDA saying 5 characters selected it

Re: The DOM Debate
Hi guys,
I used the golden cursor about a year ago,
And if I remember correctly the resolution does matter,
If you change it your co-ordinates change.
Thanks and let me know if this turns out

Re: The DOM Debate
Gene,
That‘s interesting. I was not aware of the resolution matter. I thinj it might have impacts on saved positions. It is an important aspect to consider.

It works well but people need to know if they are using it to stay on the one screen resolution as in the display.
for if the display settings are then changed to either some thing higher or

And to stay at the comparison with table navigation, the position here can be reported as pixels from top left of the screen instead of row and column number in tables.

Re: The DOM Debate
The good thing about golden cursor is also the fact that it plays a sound when you reach the borders of the screen, comparable to table navigation when using ctrl + alt + arrow key. In golden cursor

Re: The DOM Debate
Hi
In short with golden cursor it lets you move the mouse around with the arrow keys plus 2 others. Plus part of it also is when turned on it will tell you the pixel cordinates etc so you know where

Re: OT: selecting a new laptop is more difficult than before
I don't follow these things in any systematic way and I'm not a tech, but I'm skeptical that suddenly, programs will be so demanding that all these four or five year old machines will be obsolete.
