Yes. I guess making backups of every file I change is sensible practice. Not
even necessarily so I can fix something I break myself by accident, but so
it's easier to set right what MS puts wrong.

Tiflotecnia's Vocalizer worked quite well actually, but one historic complain that I have is that for certain languages (especially Asian languages like Thai) the synth won't read certain characters

Hi,
Out of the two synthesizars, and three different British male voices available for NVDA. Which voices between Malcolm, Daniel, and Oliver is the most expressive when reading.

OH no. This is definitely not hacked at all. Kurzweil1000 makes it available outside of for use on Windows. Not that I'd use Eloquence since I've gotten so used to Vocalizer since it continues to

It depends on the licence really. If they have made it a global synth then you are quite free to use it, but hacking a driver to use a restricted copy, say from Dolphin or other maker is probably not

NVDA says unknown when it sees some sort of text that it doesn't know how to convert into speech. I don't know if it does for images. Just ignore it. Something is being displayed that NVDA doesn't

Some newer members may not know that I am the moderator. My view is that if Kurzweil wanted people not to use that option, they would restrict use of the synthesizer so it couldn't be used in that
