A bit of topic drift here.
However, Back in the old days the same engine we built for use as Dr Spectrum, could be used to write grammatically correct sentences, but sense was a whole other ball game.

Nothing wrong with XP Skype still runs on mine, indeed I have three here in the homw of old tech.

Before Microsoft took it over there used to be a basic system called Skype kit that any third party could use to write a front end around. If you recall GW Micro did just that, but I understand this

Are you using adblock?
If yes, for some reason that I don't understand, you can't browse with NVDA the page.

from mack I have no problem with n v d a and g mail. now, I do use basic view, standard view can give you some problems.

Well, that's odd. After alt-tabbing back to VLC, suddenly NVDA is able to identify elements, including the random button. I really have no idea why I could not observe this behaviour before. I

I'm making some progress with VLC. Unfortunately the biggest problem is the lack of audio feedback in the programme. I have tried with both nVDA and JAWS, and feedback with JAWS seems slightly better,

I have it, and I am pretty sure it's just the background processing that does not work after the trial version. The on-demand scanning, which is what the programme is actually useful for in my view,

It has a trial period after which it locks up. That is why it is installed, used, then killed before the trial runs out.

I have switched all my users to skype universal to keep the software updated but to be honest skype classic is in the tablets section so unless ms decides that windows tablets need to update

Well I use malwarebytes to scan a system, but as for keeping it on the system, no, windows defender handles a lot of the stuff one needs to bother with and the more advanced stuff are just not
