Well Firefox has been added to the firestick, but I believe Amazon has agreed to sell chrome based devices now, so where is the problem. I'm suspicious that Amazons system may well hijack Googles data

You might try Textaloud which seems to have a scan engine in there somewhere.
currently I am using Docuscan from Seratek which does an excellent job with pdf files.
