Re: Scanner / OCR recommendation
It always depends on the quality of the image, sadly. I have played with contrast, grey scale and all sorts and in the end if its a clean crisp thing with few font changes or bold italics or size

Re: Scanner / OCR recommendation
Not sure what it sells for now, but for my use, the KNFB reader app is great which I use along with NVDA.

Re: NvDA not working with some websites in latest chrome
This is marv here. You might try the f5 key for page refresh; this clears up this issue sometimes.

Re: NvDA not working with some websites in latest chrome
Funny this. I had this happen just now in an older firefox, but on a restart of nvda all went back to normal.
I was using the latest master at the time.
Something odd in javascript

Re: Scanner / OCR recommendation
That’s good to hear. This would be version 14, then? That appears to be the latest.

Input not working with Braille Sense
Here I have a braille sense Qwerty. It is connected via bluetooth. The screen reader is NVDA 2017.4.
Input is not working. I seem to recall something about a missing DLL file but the information is so

You can select between French and English for latin languages...
Vocalizer for NVDA alone can not choose the appropriate language inside the same group of languages...

I'm using the new KNFB Windows 10 app which I bought when discounted to $19 US and love it. I used ABBYY 12 but since I'm always trying out new system environments I grew weary of frequently needing

Re: Scanner / OCR recommendation
Hey.
Thanks for this information. How much of an obstacle do you find AFR 14 accessibility? I noticed that they, perhaps unsurprisingly, do not sell versions older than 14 on their site.

Re: question
Its the same app, the interface options and menu are similar.
the one you've posted is the portable, and the other is full installed version.

scanner recommendation
I have been very happy with my Epson Perfection V39 flat bed scanner. Gets its power from your usb port so no power supply needed. Scans fast and accurate.
