Thanks very much I think my friend uses the SAPI 5 voices. I suspected that they wouldwork, but would she havae to copy them i.e. there exec files on to the thumb drive or would NVDA's

Yes. Any synths that are addons, e.g. SVOX Pico, can be copied into your

All these years I never knew that.
I was either pressing Windows + U and going through the ease of access thing, or pressing windows + R and typing in Narrator.

Is this a dell? If so, I'll need to gloat for a bit. I have a serious hate on for the wave max audio stuff. If it is, a possible fix is to delete the audio driver and reboot. For a short while

Yes I am an Elbraille user. There is an extended braille gestures add-on I believe on the official NVDA add-ons page that brings most of the missing functionality.

If you are running the NEXT versions of NVDA you already can go to NVDA/Preferences/Input gestures menu and there you can define keystrokes for Control, Alt, Tab and so on...
