Windows Mail App
Hi All,
Is there a way to stop the link address being read out on images that contain links.
It does not do this in Thunderbird.
Regards,
Stephen

Hi,
Mouse frames: Golden Cursor is the closest equivalent.
As for the claim that it is easy to write JAWS scripts: I beg to differ. If you want to write scripts or add-ons, you need to have good

Re: NVDA Is Well Ahead Of JAWS
Yes, I also use Thunderbird, but with imap account because it is much much better to handle emails like that.
I can say nvda behaves far better than Jaws with this email client.

Re: How to get firefox to read just text on a website?
Can any of these modes be used by cut and paste? I often find myself needing to grab text from a web page to paste into a ascript for the sighted readers at our Talking newspaper to read.

Re: Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio with NVDA
I personally have never heard of either of these.
What do they do exactly other than, I assume keep a record of how a project is going.

I think my issues with tbird are well known here.
1. it uses hard to remember shortcuts nothing like Outlook express

Re: NVDA Is Well Ahead Of JAWS
My opinion is if you are using particulary newer aplication and OS. and also only speach, NVDA is good as well as Jaws. There may be better support for some unushual aplications for some

I don't know what the person had in mind but I think he was talking about the more or less equivalent of set files in JAWS. They are called frames and they do roughly what set files do in

I didn't know JAWS allows to easily create specific scripts. I thought it took some programming skills just like making add ons for nvda does. The one thing nvda needs is the ability

Also, you can enter reader view in Firefox without installing any extensions by pressing F9 on the page of the article you want to read. I'm using Firefox Nightly, but I'm pretty sure this works on

Is this an add-on needing to be installed? I'm only aware of the below command to add to the shortcut properties to enable Reading View.
--enable-dom-distiller

Re: How to get firefox to read just text on a website?
Hi!
Chrome also has an add on call Just Read.
It does the same thing as the reading mode in Edge, where all the clutter is gone, and leaves just the text on the page!

Not sure about IE but Edge, Alt-D and tab to a button labeled Enter Reading View. Mainly available on sites featuring articles.

Either close the page you're on, or use the close button at the bottom
of the page. Pretty sure ctrl-alt-r is a toggle too.
