Its not, but to be honest it doesn't matter anymore now days, just about everything you interact with will have some of your info stored online.

I don't recall if I copied and pasted that character in the first place. You can avoid unnecessary steps by copying the link the the clipboard,

I’m sure that the method used to remove the linefeed character doesn’t matter but here’s how I did it.
I copied the entire link to the clipboard.
I opened a new notepad plusplus document

The two OCRs I use, omnipage and freeOCR, do convert pdf. But the first one isn't free, and the second one prone to klingon.

for example: i press enter in all my word and rtf documents and
libreoffice writer opens it properly.

Try pressing the F6 function key followed by escape, focus is sometimes
lost after using menus as well, make sure it's maximised.

Mr. Gaff, most average people don't worry about this, period. The security in place in any commercial data center is far more robust than what's on your own local machine and hackers target those,

the settings in your preferences menu?
I forget what needs to be set, but there are several of them which
pertain to Screen
