Re: problem with coping nvda settings to the system
Perhaps background was the wrong word, I mean an open window that was not in focus. I used alt+tab to move focus, pressed alt+y and the installation started.

First of all, I tried the latest next snapshot. I really like the new NvDA settings center dialog. This is really gunna be a big hit when it comes out for 2018.2!

Use the NVDA pass through command NVDA+f2 followed by windows command control+alt+UpArrow to restore it to landscape orientation.

If you go to the desk top, make sure nothing is selected do an applications key on this or shift f10, then go into graphics properties, and make sure 0 degrees is the one that is checked this

option. The problem I see with that is I am sure the sound is disabled
in safe mode.

You may be able to do a recovery from start up. What make is your Laptop and was Win 10 installed on it when you purchased it?

You shouldn't have done that.
I had a friend do this.
Basically, you will have to reformat, either use your recovery partition, or get rid of windows completely clear the drive.

If there is a uac window opend I don't know it and my uac is off. I guess that nvda does not read background windows.
