One also assumes that the power saving processor idle speed has not once again returned to a very useless low level making the very laggy explorer using uia even worse than it is

That tool sure sounds interesting. Didn't know it exists but if it is what I think it is then I like the idea a lot.

Maybe it helps to execute the “Run COM Registration Fixing tool” from the tools menu of the next releases.

Ok, for now, I literally just uninstalled any unnecessary software, did a completely clean install of NVDA itself - 2018.1.1 - first wiping out any %appData% settings, and running through

If you didn't have the problem before and if no one else reports such a problem after the update, I suspect there might be a defect in the update. I don't have the technical knowledge to say if that

First, check to see that the preview pane is off. I don't have Windows 10 and I'm not sure just how you would do this. Someone else should be able to tell you. If it already is or if turning it off

Hi Rich,
I don’t even use bookmarks now. Sure, I add them, but if you start typing the name of the web site in the address bar, auto complete will kick in.

Interesting, when I cursor through the bookmarks in Chrome on my system it works and activates the bookmark when I press enter on one of them. I haven't had a problem with this issue
