Re: Strange behavior of NVDA and Windows 10 at machine startup
I'm using a Minix Neo Mini PC box running Windows 10 1803. This box sometimes reboots unexpectedly when using the Kodi media center to listen to DV movies, music and radio stations.

Re: Strange behavior of NVDA and Windows 10 at machine startup
In your original post you didn’t mention which version of nvda you are running
Although this shouldn’t matter but if you update to nvda v18.1 but if you are running 18.1 then try reinstalling

I think you mean "Github". The source code for NVDA is kept on GitHub, as well as our issue repository. So, if you want to file a bug, that's the best place.

However else you might get rid of the problem, you should be able to reduce it to almost insignificance by using sleep or hibernate or whatever the Windows 10 equivalents are for these settings.

Re: Strange behavior of NVDA and Windows 10 at machine startup
Yes, that's exactly the panel. I just want to go directly to the field for entering my pin after startup. I find myself pressing [Escape], [Tab] etc. multiple times just to get rid of that

Not in windows settings
It is possible to have it so it logs in automatically, therefore you wont see the lock screen or login page when you boot
Having said that any key press will remove the lock

I've experienced it too. It's like Windows is presenting me with all of the built-in accessibility options for me to select from, before logging into Windows. Nice for those who don't know

Following up on this response. Is there any option to disable the lock screen verbiage all together? Can't find any such switch under settings -> personalization -> lock screen.

I don't know but the same thing is happening in word 2003 in windows 7, but not always. It seems to be getting stuck but nothing in the log shows any concerns when it happens.

I cannot see any difference between her encoding and yours. I switched to message source and both are plain text at the start. is this another great 'feature' of windows 10 mail

It was OK here. Could it be that there is a fault with your windows?
If you download the latest master snap then run the fixer tool and see if it fixes that.
On the other issue. I'd turn on narrator
