notepad++ is very accessible with nvda and even sayAll works.
you can remove all empty lines from your files if you need.

The commands curl and wget can be used to directly retrieve files to your system given the URL. I don't believe either of these commands work for streaming media and you will need to install

Notepad++ had a few quirks that I didn't like, but overall, it is accessible, and you'll probably be able to turn the nasty stuff off at any rate. To be honest, I use Notepad2

Where are the speech dictionaries, when I go into the NVDA settings the
dictionaries are blank i.e. there is nothing in them.

Try using the speech dictionary to stop graphic from being spoken. I suspect it will work.

Could I just say that I have the echo dot, and you do need to bear in mind that to install one on your network you need a computer or smart phone with a wireless connection not a wired one.Although
