I don't particularly care if they use a keyboard themselves. It would be nice if at least one person reviewed the design using a keyboard, but not just a keyboard, a screen-reader. You can't

In waterfox on windows 7, which also did an update today, the button does not show up. However refreshing shows the cookies message the nvda/waterfox did not get the first time and then accept allows

It is a NVDA addon, and with my version of Thunderbird, 52.9.1 (32 bits) still works to manage coluns...

There is an add on, I don't recall if it is a Thunderbird or an NVDA add on that makes changing the order much easier. I don't know if it works with new versions, but it might save you time and

What happens if you are on the button, turn off browse mode, make sure you are still on the button, and try to activate it? What happens if you leave browse mode on, route the mouse to the button,

I believe I saw turning speak type characters off as the solution. NVDA key 2 on the main keyboard toggles it off and on.
