Not sure what you are doing but Virtual recorder is what I use to record stuff from the computer that has no record function. Of course you need to turn off system sounds or they will be on any

except for the paragraph beeps.
Then the problems arose where ZT would no longer read be sentences.

Why do you need NVDA to work in safe ode when Narrator will do that for you? There is a slight learning curve, but, very much worth it.
