If this was the case Joseph, the number of things I have open in 7 and lots of buffering files should slow it down, but its not. Obviously there are occasional glitches where a core maxes out if you

In that case maybe we need to know more about the hardware of the machine and whether its processor is being throttled back to save power as on some laptops.

Depends what you mean really, while stuff is extracting that window is busy. However if you install 7zip and use that instead then the old explorer window is there via

I've noticed this on other web content as well. I suspect that nvda is responding correctly but the page is changing underneath probably not that fast due to javascript or whatever and the result is

Well I disagree most strongly. Its making far too much work for system admins, and potentially breaking working software as well. I think we as a breed also should have access to longer support times
