Using the layout submenu in the View menu, I have set Tbird to display only the folder list and the currently selected folder displaying the list of messages, which is about as bare bones as it gets.

NVDA was on when I installed it. I had to hit alt tab to get to the choices like writer or kelp.

On a 64-bit version of Windows, both 32 and 64-bit JRE's should be installed. WindowsAccessBridge-64.dll needs to be in the System32 folder and WindowsAccessBridge-32.dll in the SysWow64

Your correct maybe she didn't install with screen reader running if this has been the case it will not switch all the accessibility stuff on and nothing much will read.

You can try especially by work with NvdA, microsoft security essentials or also avg antivirus the free version. I should propose avast but it isn't particulary accessible with NvdA. NvdA
