I just noticed now when you are on the recent one if you shift/tab now it gives you the categories where now you right or left arrow to them then press the enter key on the one you want then shift

Hi,
Press Control+NVDA+V and see if the new "Include Unicode Consortium data (including emoji) when processing characters and symbols" checkbox is checked.

Just tested the beta, and it doesn't read emojis, at least for me, with any synthesizer. I get X of Y, e.g. 1 of 50, 2 of 50, and so on. This happens even with the one-core voices, which used to read

both openoffice and libreoffice dont support reporting alignment for
nvda screen reader.
i am not sure about jaws and libreoffice compatibility with jaws, but

Well spotted, and interesting pickup. This is exactly why NVDA itself doesn't try to interpret information, but simply present it as it is displayed. Many synthesizers do try to interpret

I think you will hear unknown from time to time just because something is encountered that is unknown. I hear unknown now and then. The problem solved by running the tool is that no browser text is

Yes, I have this installed. What is happening is that when I press alt-s to stop playing, say, it also pulls up the settings menu for effects etc.

Depends if you have fast startup enabled or not,
But to be sure I advise to restart rather than shut down if you have fast startup enabled
