I'd imagine any vendor will have plenty of time to tweak the python script part of the driver to run under the later

I suspect its due to people using the old now illegal and unsupported add ons or have not kept it up to date. That is the usual thing. Folk tend to leave it and then find its broken when they want

I installed 2018.4 beta 1 today using Espeak on Windows 10 Pro, build 1809, 64 bit.
I'm noticing a slightly more sluggish or delayed response when navigating within email messages using Mozilla
