Re: Windows key plus M suddenly stopped working
How about you try this. When your focus is on the Start button, you do the keyboard command Shift plus Tab and see if that moves your focus to the Desktop.
Just a thought. Hope it helps.

How does a sighted mouse user return to the desktop? Is the desktop, or an icon, always visible?

Re: Stop saying Spelling Error
To stop NVDA reporting spelling errors can be adjusted on NVDA's document formatting settings screen:
1) Press NVDA+control+d to open the settings to document formatting.
2) Press alt+r to toggle

Just played with something I hadn't ever done before when using WinKey+D.
If you use WinKey+D to go to the desktop, and do not open any additional windows while you're there, it toggles you right back

Re: Windows key plus M suddenly stopped working
Windows m moves you to the desktop and minimizes all windows.
Windows d takes you to the desktop but doesn't minimize anything. I hadn't thought about this before, but the mnemonics make sense.

Oh, I hadn't answered yet because I wanted to confirm it first. Now I did.
It's just most likely you might have enabled the tablet mode.
Just go to the action center and disable it and you
