Well it is as long as nvda has not managed to pretend another key is pressed down. I've noticed a similar issue with Jaws as well at times. I am wondering why, but I doubt anyone really knows, but

Its a windows key combination which may mean you have an issue where sticky keys comes on and confuses stuff. I'd start there and then think about nvda later on. This is where a portable version of

Sometimes it works that way too., As I say this is a criticism of combo box behaviour and design. I keep forgetting which technique works on which boxes. I place the blame for this squarely on the web

In the UK the cost of Jaws is more than it is in the states as well. which I think is daylight robbery myself. I have a registered copy from an offer last year, but they will not even let me have the

The point is, a bit like voice over on a Mac, its fine for 'official ' applications but it does not seem to have any way to fiddle with it to make it work on third party software where access is not

It's a little unfair to say that. In Windows 10 1809, there are lots of improvements to Narrator and it's beginning to look like other screen readers, such as JAWS and yes NVDA in its command

Or you could use Windows D, which is more reliable. M just means Minimise everything, whereas D takes you to the Desktop.

The “Show Desktop” button can be accessed via keyboard by tabbing through the desktop items.
For example, use Windows + B to access the Notification area, and then press the Tab key. From
