I don't see this with add ons on or off but do occasionally hear an error tone on start up.
I'm using windows 7.

Regarding Slack I have used it and the program is accessible. However, just because a program is screen reader accessible doesn't necessarily mean that it has an intuitive user-friendly interface.

If you're using Thunderbird or Outlook, simply choose "Save as" from the file menu. You have the option of saving your message in several formats including html and text. I hope this helps.
