Re: I am really loving the new NVDA
Thanks everyone! It's good to know when things aren't working so we can fix them, but it's lovely to hear when things are working well too!
All the best,
Quentin.

Re: Sending Logs
Hi Abbie,
It looks like that is the log from after you restarted NVDA? At least, it appears to only show the standard startup entries. In the %temp% folder, there should be an "nvda-old.log" file

Re: Excerp from the portable NVDA log.
Since I don't have the add-on, I can't test it, but a couple of things to check or answer please:
- You mention you are using a portable version of NVDA at school where it doesn't work, but it does

Re: 2019.1 appears to be out
I know we get a couple of comments each release about this. The check for updates is supposed to check the first time you run NVDA each day. Given that we only release each quarter, there's no point

Re: checkboxes in word forms
Just a bit of information for the cohort after having had a chance to look at the form in question.
As is all too typical, this thing isn't an MS-Word fillable form that is designed with accessibility

Re: Translating NVDA into Te Reo Māori option
Hi Brian
The language pack for Windows does the language but does not have a text to speech voice. I just checked for that.
he did also mention that the HAL screen reader had a synth in it for there

Is it echoing any column

Hi
No
make sure you are in browse mode you can use the nvda key + space bar to do this. Depending how you have it set you will either either hear like a key been typed this means you are in focus

Thanks much for this. What concerns me is that the column/row header reading did work, and worked well for a long time.

Did you check the task manager to see if another instance of Word was still opened? After the crash, there may have been an instance opened that was causing the problem.
