The instructions for using about":config in this way don't sound to me as though they have anything to do with multiple processors. It sounds like turning off Firefox's ability to open more than one

Just curious, but why wouldn't one use goldwave 6? Maybe if you were still on XP, I could understand sticking with an old version -- in that case you can no longer keep NVDA up to date either.

also, firefox 48 supports multiprocess.
does it mean that firefox 48 also is not good for me?
to disable multiprocess in every version of firefox, in the address bar, type
about:config

Word issues at page boundaries again
Hi does everyone have issues when going through a page boundary on various flavours of Microsoft word. Originally making the view normal and the zoom 200 percent seemed to fix this getting stuck

I the code in the 52 version was optimised for multi processor cores so it goes in jerks due to it trying to do all the tasks at the same time. There is probably a way to turn multi core support off,

I don't have any explanation why nor any solution, but I can confirm YouTube is behaving the same for me when using Firefox. The Video page loads but does not automatically play. It started to do this

In Older days (Vista and possibly Win 7), if NVDA was not set to run on the logon screen, it would also not read UAC dialogs or applications that ran under elevated
