from mack the snappiness has definitely improved in chrome. especially at http://www.seekingalpha.com after you click on an article, there are comments, I use the find feature for the word

Hi,
before flying off on wild tangents, I'd suggest clearing the browser
cache and deleting cookies. Maybe this helps.

I do have Narrator at startup and want to switch to NVDA after logon. Maybe that isn't a good idea.
I made sure Narrator and NVDA are not trying to start at the same time.

You didn't get malware from Google and Google may have features the search engine you are using doesn't have. You may have gotten malware by following a link in a search but that can happen with any
