Re: problem with NVDA screen reader
I'd try it with Firefox or Chrome, as IE is very much a problem on web sites, and Edge is rubbish until they bring out the chrome based one later on.
I think it you bring up the nvda menu with insert

Seems a little odd to have a web form that cannot be used by many peoples favourite browser. I have waterfox and Firefox here but find Chrome difficult. Its me probably but I know of quite a few

Part of the problem is that Internet Explorer is essentially dead, &
Edge is still pretty iffy regarding accessibility.
Would your friend be willing to try Firefox or Chrome? I myself
personally like

Let's not neglect very simple questions that might be so obvious they aren't asked. Your description says it reads the first line or two, then stops or repeats. But can the person move down the page

image describer addon error?
Hi,
The image describer addon just gives a bunch of braille Unicode numbers for image descriptions. That is not helpful, and yes I do have it set to English. Does this addon still need some major

I appreciate the info about configuration not going away when
reinstalled. How would I reset it to default. I don't know who
originally installed this software, but as far as I can tell he has not

Great points, thank you Brian.
I actually have a listening ear at the company at this point. Not sure how responsive they will be over time but we shall see.
Thanks again,
Sam

Sam,
Getting the same "non-result" in all browsers other than IE strongly suggests to me that the site in question (or at least the part you're trying to work with) was written extensively

Questions about Browsers and NVDA
Hi All,
Ok, IE works great with both NVDA and other screen reader Jaws. Modern browsers show unlabeled buttons, links and, clickables.
Thanks,
Sam

I suggest you to use what suits you better. It's?? probably

I agree that the original poster did show some discretion in asking for replies off-list, which could easily have been made using the "Reply to Sender" link at the end
