Without turning the screen reader off, can you do the same thing by using the keyboard bypass command before (each of) your other commands? In NVDA's case, the bypass command is NVDA+F2.

You are right, and I don't usually worry about inserting the date for the same reason - I'm not sure if there is an easy way for the shop products, but I'll have a look.--

issue with secure banking site
Running Win 10 1903, NVDA 2019.2 and latest version of Google chrome.
Up until today I could go to my brokers web site and see all my investments by using the arrow keys.
Today the information is on
