Not if you use MP3 Direct Cut, which edits and changes the same file without reencoding it, which is why I specifically specified MP3 direct cut. That is one of the reasons some people use that

The event is held via TeamTalk, so folks start out with wave files, edit them, and make them available as mp3’s. Adding to the mix this year is translation of keynote in at least one another
