As far as I know, there is no application specific dictionary and no way to do what you want. of course, someone may know something I don't know but I know of no such ability.

You must use a application specific dictionary...
You can accomplish that with an add-on.

OK I figured out if I wanted NVDA to not say something like "title o" I could place a entry in the default dictionary and just leave the replace with empty.
Now my question is can you set words not to

Press NVDA+ctrl+m and uncheck Enable mouse tracking.
See if that fixes it. My guess is you're moving the mouse, and it's reading.

Is there a way to get NVDA to not voice a particular word? I want it to not say title when it sees it when I use Google Chrome to do a search.

Interruption
Help!? All of a sudden, my speech seems to trip over itself. Using Windows 10 1809, NVDA 2019.1.1 and eloquence. Sometimes it starts to speak and says part of what's highlighted, then interrupts

The interesting thing there is, QWS has a prompt in the installer asking if you wanted it to be the default program to open MIDI files. I said yes, but it didn't work.
