You are likely hearing NVDA automatically switching to forms mode and back to browse mode. I think that is a very bad default setting, both in terms of hearing sounds and not hearing verbal

Are you using 2019.2.1 or are you using 2019.3 beta 1? Alpha and Beta versions beep whenever an error is written to the log. In many cases NVDA can try something else to work around the issue and
