I don't know if you can save web pages reformatted by Reader Mode. I've never tried nor seen anything about it.

A single keystroke invocation is pretty nice. With firefox, I just press the f9 key and the page reloads in reader mode. It is a useful feature, up to a point.

I saw something recently that Reader View has been removed from Chrome. In Firefox, I haven't played with other browsers in this respect, the browser determines whether a page meets the criteria

If you are continuing xp I don’t think you can try Chromian Edge. Not unless you upgrade to windows ten. If you end up on windows ten. You wil have yourself a learning curve. You will get used to
