Re: NVDA Settings Questions
As Sarah has mentioned, it depends on how and when you want a given thing pronounced. NVDA, like most complex software, is highly configurable, but you (or I, when advising) have to know exactly

Might be worth using for IRC, or similar, I'll have to look at this, thanks.

Sharing Miranda NG packs
I'm sharing the page for Miranda NG Packs. This page doesn't have the blind centric pack, but the Sebijk Edition says it's accessible to blind people. I'm still using the blind version of Miranda NG I

Re: NVDA Settings Questions
I believe some of this can be found in settings. For example hit nvda p to get your symbol level, and for the dot instead of period go to the dictionary settings. I believe some of this was discussed

Re: NVDA Settings Questions
You can change what NVDA says for any punctuation or symbol in the Punctuation and Symbols settings, NVDA+N,P,P. I presume you mean the period at the end of a sentence, in which case the very first

NVDA Settings Questions
Hi, I have used Jaws for years. I’m giving NVDA another look. When I’m writing an email it says dot instead of period. How do I change this? Is there any way to turn off column 4 row 3 etc.

Re: NVDA list accessibility
NVDA doesn't have a PC cursor like Jaws. Browse mode is like the PC cursor.

Re: Punctation and Symbols Settings
I don't know how to make the explanation "sentence ending" more clear, but I'll try. It means a period at the end of a sentence, like this one. It does not mean a decimal point, like this, 151.20,

Unless you can tell us what it is you'd like to change, specifically, it's impossible to say. You can certainly modify the attributes on anything in that list in the dialog, whether it will achieve

This is extremely odd. Narrator uses the british voices without a problem and if using the NVDA Voices dialog, I set the Voice to Microsoft Mark and check the “Automatic dialect switching
