I use NVDA. Yes, I do get some repititions if I press enter but if I press the up arrow key after pressing enter, I can read the entire message.

Re: Masked URLs in E-mail messages
You can do that if the links are written out. You can't if the links say something like click here.

In Chrome I can see that the browser window freezes. NVDA keeps running. But I think that it must have something to do with the combination of NVDA and Chromium or something like that. The normal view

Hi all,
when I work with edit fields or combo boxes in Edge NVDA or Edge often crashes. I'm not sure which of the programs causes the issue. NVDA is just silent when it happens.

Re: Masked URLs in E-mail messages
Hi,
the way I check those things is to use the object navigation. Focus the link, nvda+numpad8, nvda+numpad5 three times to copy the text if the link is too complicated and followup paste in notepad

Don't you get repetition if you just press enter? I don't use JAWS but if I press enter and do nothing else, I get a number of repetitions of the subject line.

You shouldn't have to go to the top of the message. Just press enter to open it, wait a moment, then issue the read to end command.

Re: Thunderbird 78.2.2
I'm having this problem too. I guess the only thing you can do is go to the top of the message and hit insert down-arrow to read it. I don't know of any way to turn off the extra verbage.

Heavens! Has skype become more and more less accessible? I don’t use it anymore. I’ve used it with win 7 a little with an earlier version of NVDA. I haven’t used it since 2015. I don’t

The only way I can stop the time from being displayed in the headers is to not have the date displayed. You may well have messages organized by date. I doubt turning this off would work because

I don't know why you hear that. I don't. Once you open a message, wait a moment, then use the read to end command. That should cause the message body to be read and interrupt or avoid

Finding that the latest version of Thunderbird works well with NVDA. There is a new little bit of verbage when you open a message in thundervird 78.2.2. It says property page followed by the time

Re: NVDA and security info
Well if its on their system, nvda will have to be installed with admin
permitions, but after that you can modify it and install addons, etc
as you would usually do since its in your user folder.
