This is not so much an NVDA feature as a Word feature. You could try setting the view mode to "Draft" (alt+w, e) rather than the default page layout (alt+w, p to get back to page layout).

It may sound strange, but check and see if the layout got changed. Then
make sure the screen is maximized. Sometimes the screen will change for
whatever reason. It might not totally minimize. But

I am sorry I can't be very specific, but in fooling with my view settings in outlook I managed to turn grouping off and it cut out all that verbosity. You can adjust your view to include fewer columns

That will not always work as for some lists like those I run I have the address hidden so you might see someone'@groups.io even though that is not their address. Hence forth, you cannot rely on that
