Re: problems wiht the nvda eloquence and sapi eloquence add on/apps
If your computer has a 1/8 jack for audio out, what happens if you plug some cheap earbuds into it? How loud does that get?

Re: problems wiht the nvda eloquence and sapi eloquence add on/apps
Probably never, not unless I need them. I can ear everything else, just not my synth speech, I need that voice to be loud. Is there an overwrite volume setting or a way to get the add on to go above

At what point do you investigate hearing aids?
I have powered speakers on my computer or can plug in headphones, and either of those can get very very loud if need be.

No, the inflectioni was a lot more in jaws way back in about 2000 to 2003. And the volume is way too low even with nvda cranked at 100 percent in volume control and in nvda itwwself. I'm now trying

Re: getting a "please register this product" with the 7 day trial of the sapi eloquence demo
I might contact them then with some feedback.
By the way if you look at the atguys page the sapi link is not on the CF page under education products. I had to google for it, which is odd.

Then, please, don't.
People can use the "Reply to Sender" link to contact you privately should they wish to do so.
What occurs behind the proverbial closed doors is of no concern to group

Hi, the rate boost and inflection settings were never implemented in Code Factory's Eloquence products.

Re: DECtalk Add-on for NVDA
Hello,
I've read rounds and rounds about this, but specifically is there a
Dectalk addon for NVDA for software speech? I'm not interested in the
USB variant software speech only.
Thanks.
Dave.

Re: IBM TTS is not working in NVDA
Based on the digging around I've done over the last couple of days, I can't say that using IBM TTS is either legal, nor illegal, as the licensing terms that are present are just incredibly sparse,

What bug are you describing in what product? Control should immediately stop speech. But what do you mean by silence? Are you saying it stops speech until you somehow start it again?

Re: IBM TTS is not working in NVDA
The IBM TTS driver also doesn't have this annoying bug where pressing Control doesn't automatically silence the TTS.

Problem changing synths
I'm noticing lately that if I change synths in the default (normal) configuration profile, save the configuration that this isn't carried over into Thunderbird where I have a separate configuration

I agree with Gene that "something is off here" and that something is not likely to be NVDA itself (though it can't be ruled out entirely).
When anomalies like this occur it can't hurt to try:

yeah and there is no need to crack stuff these days since jaws is now subscription based, and affordable, you can choose between buying eloquence or just downloading IBM-tts from ftp, windows is free

Re: problems wiht the nvda eloquence and sapi eloquence add on/apps
I don’t see anything related to inflection in the SAPI program. However, if you open the settings for Eloquence, not in NVDA, but in the program, you can tab around and see check boxes for volume
