Two Janets was NVDA find command not working
Hi Jackie,
It is another Janet who was asking about voices for NVDA. AS for "find", I have tried both versions.
Thanks,
Janet B

Janet, might I ask what keys you're pressing to find material on screen?
I ask this because NVDA can work w/2 versions of the find command. The
well-known one is control f. That one actually is

Thank you gentlemen. Both of those are useful workarounds.
I do have to say I'd like to keep the formatting, though. I'll try opening one of the PDFs using word, and saving out the resulting docx to

There are a couple things you can try.
1. Just open the quick reference in word. The address bar of your browser will tell you where it is. Word should then import the file, and let you re-save it as

Is the NVDA Commands Quick Reference available in some searchable document format? (e.g. PDF, docx)
I really don't know the answer to that question
I realize that I can open it in the browser and search there, but I often like to save this sort of thing as a PDF that I can search whenever I wish.

Another object question,
Hello again,
Thank you for the links to those articles. I will definitely check them out. In the meantime, what is the best way to set the NVDA settings for NVDA to deal with them?
Thanks

An interesting aspect of objects is that they can be very large. I think most objects are small, that is my impression. I don’t know if this is generally true of text editors and word processors,

Jujube,
The only thing I'd add is that objects include things that are not conventional controls, and the example of the status bar (that isn't a conventional status bar in presentation) at the bottom
