Thank you. Some is what I had, and I guess it moved to all, and now it is back to what I wanted. Thank heaven!!!\

Re: Associations with edit boxes and labels
I see that you said countdown 2021. I didn’t go to that page. It would save ;people trouble if people give the link of the specific page when asking about a problem.

Re: Associations with edit boxes and labels
Have you tried reading these in focus mode? This is often how I read boxes with no labels.

There are no edit fields on the home page, which is where you get when we use what you wrote. Please go to the page where you are working, copy the address from the address bar, and paste the address

Issue the command NVdA key control r. If you ever change settings and want to return to the previous settings, use that command. It loads the saved configuration. It won’t do any good to use it

You're going to have to use not only your tab key, but your arrow keys
as well, Chris. Just FYI, this is pretty standard procedure.

Press NVDA+p until you get the level you want. The default is some.

Associations with edit boxes and labels
I’m having a problem with finding labels for edit boxes on websites. For example, if I go to mushroomfm.com/countdown2021 and tab down to the edit boxes, I see no labels, and on the Twitter edit

punctuation has started reading when I don't want it
I don't know what key stroke I accidentally might have hit, but I am now hearing all kinds of unwanted punctuation read, things like "bar" or "dash" or whatever else in places where I don't want them.

Re: Bengali / Bangla translator wanted
Hello Quentin,
I just spoke to a friend of mine who knows Bengali and can even get more people involved if need be. He has a lot of questions to ask. How do I have him get in touch with you?

I had not been aware of that add-on, and it is available via the NVDA Add-Ons Directory.
The latest version, however, is 1.4. Download Link:

Re: File Explorer woes
Yeah, my trainers I had never differentiated any of that. They just gave use key strokes etc and never told us what was what. We had to figure that out ourselves. It took me 20 years? Ok maybe not

Hi,
Have you looked at the application dictionaries addon? This allows you to create dictionaries for specific applications.
Here’s the original message sent to this list:

Thomas,
Given the level of sophistication you already seem to possess in regard to the dictionaries, could you not just create a "permanent" temporary voice or default dictionary file that you could

Re: a problem with speech dictionaries again.

What is your punctuation level set to?
NVDA is not reading the brackets, at all, for me. It just says Blind Tee.
See section 12.2.2 of the NVDA user guide. I strongly suspect this is linked
