In my setup, using Windows 10 and a canon flatbed scanner, I just press the scan button on my flatbed; this automatically passes to the PC as an image file held as a.pdf which is immediately

I haven’t worked with enough PDF documents to say how many read properly. I have seen discussions now and then where people perform OCR on PDF documents containing text in columns on pages because
