GMail Basic Setting With NVDA
Hi NVDA,

that reads, "Click to go to basic."

Punctuation isn’t spoken when set to none.
But one thing I still think shouldn’t be announced by default are what I call shapes. You will se an example in a later message. It has been said

Hi,
Punctuation is interesting. It is sometimes forced on you by the synthesiser you are using.

Wow, that’s true. I didn’t realise that. If you left arrow it speaks, but if you right arrow, it doesn’t. That is actually an inconsistency that could easily be fixed.

Hi Brian,
Actually, JAWS doesn’t have everything set to maximum out of the box. Punctuation is a prime example, the default setting is Some.
I don’t believe NVDA reads all punctuation out

I agree, there is currently no way to search settings in NVDA, and this for me would be a must have. JAWS does this and does it well.

From reading the section labeled Portable and Temporary Copy Restrictions in the manual, it looks like your only solutions are to install it or run NVDA as admin.

Hello all,
Gene, on the matter of punctuation, I fully agree with you.
I mean - who thought that it is a good idea to define some of the punctuation to be spoken at level "None"

Re: How to copy NVDA user settings before logging into windows without the need for add-ons that are installed in NVDA?
Hi.
I was wondering the same myself.
We don't need all those addons there. All we need is our personal voice prefference such as synth of choice, speed etc.
